Painting a Picture

PAINTING A PICTURE

Another lonely night in a town I won’t remember
Wishing with all my might, for someone to hold me tight
Close my eyes to keep away those empty pillow blues
And I start painting a picture of you

I imagine every part, golden smile and twinkling eyes you’re
My favorite work of art in the colors of my heart
May sound silly to believe a daydream could come true
Just by painting a picture of you

But one sweet tomorrow when the stars synchronize
I’ll look around to see a face somehow I recognize

Till then it’s up to fate to bring us both together
It’ll never be too late, ‘cause I know you’re worth the wait
Lover when you come my way, whoever you may be
I hope you’re painting a picture of me
